ROW spoke with Lisa Papuni, co-leader of ASB’s Staff Financial Wellbeing Series, to get practical tips on managing money while still making the festive season memorable for you and your whānau (family).

It’s that time of year again – Mariah Carey’s on repeat, the malls are buzzing with crowds, and festive traditions are in full swing. But with rising living costs, it’s easy to feel the pressure of balancing celebrations and your budget. The good news is, with a little planning and a clear view of your finances, you can enjoy the season without the stress.

To get better view on what to do, ROW spoke to Lisa Papuni, who co-leads ASB's Staff Financial Wellbeing Series.

Papuni says, “There is a lot of discussion and commentary in the media that people are really concerned about the cost of living, but they also want to ensure that it is a nice festive season for themselves and their whānau.”

"We can't underestimate the impact that our money has on our wellbeing. We're waking up worried about money. It is going to impact a lot, if not everything that we do."
