The prevalence of psychosocial hazards in the workplace is escalating, contributing significantly to health problems, injuries, disabilities, and substantial costs. These issues are further intensified by the growing number of mental health conditions among working adults, creating a serious public health challenge that requires urgent attention.
A recent paper has highlighted the extensive and cumulative impacts of these hazards on business productivity and national economic health. It reviews the link between psychosocial risks in the workplace and their adverse effects, emphasizing the urgent need for interventions to prevent and manage these issues.
