EXTERNAL | WEBINAR - How to avoid or cope with burnout: thrive, don't just survive

Event hosted by Cultivate HR | This will be an interactive session with ROW founder Sarah McGuinness, and Justine Duncan. Hosted by Amanda Law.

More than half of New Zealand employees are reporting severe burnout, according to an April 2024 survey by Massey Business School's wellbeing@work project. Those in Human Resources, Leadership or Executive roles are especially vulnerable due to their role requiring the need to navigate changing and challenging dynamics, especially over the past few years.

Facilitated by Amanda Law, who specialises in P&C recruitment at Cultivate, we’re honoured to have Sarah McGuinness join us, who’s on a mission to break burnout culture and raise awareness around the topic, the cost to the individual and the business. Sarah will bring her expert knowledge, sharing what burnout is - how to recognise it both personally and amongst our friends, colleagues and whanau, alongside providing expert advice on how to avoid and/or cope with burnout.

We also have Justine Duncan who will talk through her lived experience of burnout in the workplace, in the hope that by sharing her story, others may learn how to recognise the signs of mental distress/burnout in themselves or their co-workers. Furthermore, she would like to provide insight into the things she has put in place to aid her recovery.

We look forward to you joining us in our mission to nominalise the burnout conversation and supporting ourselves, and those around us, with their mental wellbeing in and outside of the workplace so we can thrive, not just survive, together.
