The research, covering data from the US and Italy, shows that this stress can worsen mental and physical health. In the US, fears about negative stereotypes related to family responsibilities increase this effect, but this wasn’t seen in Italy. The study highlights the need for better workplace support to manage job stress and improve overall well-being.
